We don’t want the market to stagnate. The New Jersey cannabis canopy covers 418,000 square feet, which is far less than the national average for legal marijuana states. Commissioner Maria Del Cid Kosso stated. New Jersey has one cultivation permit for each 197,000 residents. One license is required for each 31,000 people. This national average. There is plenty of space for growth. The cap being lifted will allow more growers to enter the market, which should lead to lower prices and easier access for patients as well as other consumers.
