What happens to your state of mind after listening to techno / trance music regularly over a long period of time?

"When I make techno I often have loops playing over and over for 4-8 hours. I lose track of time because I get lost in the process. It's like I hypnotize myself from the pull of reality because I no longer worry about anything or think about anything else. I'm just there creating and flowing with the universe. It's nice. To sum it all up after I'm done, I'm just relaxed. It takes about 20-30 minutes before reality sets back in and my mind floods with the usual noise.

As a consumer of music I would listen to electronic music on 4 hour drives to and from my folk's place on a weekly to bi-weekly basis. Sometimes I'd really listen with concentration if I really liked something so I could emulate it when I made music later on, but most of the time the music would be playing and it was just there. Since there were no words it didn't require any concentration, so it was like meditation. That coupled with driving made for again a relaxing situation even though I was still alert and fully aware of everything around me."
