Since 2015, local products of Pafos have been promoted through various events, turning our city into a real Garden of Tastes and establishing gastronomy as a creative experience belonging to nature and the arts. This will be reinforced in 2017 with the lifting of wines bottles from the bottom of the sea after their immersion in 2016, as well as the touring of the Wine Art exhibition which has taken place in Pafos in 2016. Other activities of the kind which combine the cuisine of Pafos with western and eastern tastes will be included. The events will culminate in the Menu of the European Capital of Culture Pafos2017, an open food-tasting festival which invites the audience to participate in a feast of art and flavours. Local celebrations related to traditional products will offer their visitors a tour into the culinary tradition of Cyprus and Pafos in particular.
